TORONTO BLUE JAYS PEANUT/NUT-REDUCED ZONE

The Toronto Blue Jays are offering a peanut/nut-reduced seating area at certain games for their 2014 season, as allergies are becoming increasingly prevalent. There is no cure, so avoidance of the allergenic food is the only way to steer clear of an allergic reaction. Taking your children out to a crowded public space can be frightening and dangerous for those who risk severe reactions. Fortunately, the Toronto Blue Jays want to give all families the opportunity to visit a Jays Game and stay safe this summer.

On six different game dates a limited number of seats are available in this designated area at the Rogers Centre, located in Section 204 of the 200 Level Outfield seating area. This area is signed off as the “Peanut/Nut-Reduced Zone”.

Peanuts and nuts will not be allowed in this reserved section for the following game dates:

  • Sunday, April 27, 2014 vs. Boston 
  • Sunday, May 25, 2014 vs. Oakland 
  • Sunday, June 29, 2014 vs. Chicago White Sox
  •  Sunday, July 20, 2014 vs. Texas 
  • Sunday, August 24, 2014 vs. Tampa Bay 
  • Sunday, September 14, 2014 vs. Tampa Bay

FARMER’S MARKETS IN MISSISSAUGA

There’s no better way to support Ontario than buying local! There are numerous economic, environmental and health benefits to eating foods that are locally grown, organic and sustainable. This is important but let’s stop and think about the simple benefits of our local Farmer’s Markets here in Mississauga and the surrounding area. Farmer’s Markets provide the most FRESH FOOD which is DELICIOUS and a visit to the market is FUN for kids.

SPLASH PADS IN MISSISSAUGA

Mississauga’s Splash Pads, now called spray pads by The City, are officially open from June through September; just in time for some of the season’s hottest weather! Bring your kids to one of Mississauga’s numerous splash pads this summer for wet and refreshing fun! Can you think of a better way to spend free time with the kids on a hot, sunny day?

Summer Camps in Mississauga

With most registrations now in full swing, as we do each year, we have provided a summary of what we believe are many of the best summer camps in Mississauga for 2014.

Whether your children are interested in the arts, or sports or academics, you will find specialized out of school fun in Mississauga that fit into just the right category to develop your children’s specific talent and encourage their interests. Many local camps provide a collection or combination of activities to provide a balanced approach or to help children discover new pursuits.

We have not posted on our Blog in quite some time! Here is an update about our company and services. 

Pumpkinseed Media Group is operated under the direction of Melanie Heathers and encompasses the printed guides Mississauga Kids, Oakville Kids, and Burlington Kids. The Mississauga Guides have been published for over 8 years, printing 3 times each year and distributed via Canada Post to over 122,000 homes in Mississauga. In 2013 Oakville Kids Guides joined the Pumpkinseed Media family and in 2014 the Burlington Kids Guides followed. These new editions are delivered to over 51,000 homes in Oakville and over 50,000 homes in Burlington via Canada Post three times per year. Guides are delivered to your mailbox in January, April and August. Copies are also available at Mississauga Libraries and local businesses while the supplies last.

In the meantime we have several websites to help you find what you need for the kids you love. MississaugaKids.comOakvilleKids.ca and BurlingtonKids.ca feature articles about local activities and businesses, while our calendar is loaded with events  for kids and parents. Pumpkinseed Media Group also owns Your Family Directory - an online directory of products and services for kids and families. We stay connect on all our Social Media Platforms, updating twitter daily with current events and news, sharing ideas on Facebook and making YouTube videos for Holiday ideas and previews for exhibits and IMAX movies.

New MIssissauga Private Schools Website!

Pumpkinseed Publishing Inc. is please to announce the development of a new website to aid Mississauga families who are considering a private school education for their children.
